The contents are made up of Home Economics and Pre-Technical Skills carefully selected to develop learners’ core skills and competencies in the areas of Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving, Communication and Collaboration, Creativity and Innovation, Citizenship, Personal Development and Digital Literacy. The requirement to provide Junior High School learners with these basic skills and competencies in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) cannot be overemphasised since it was identified as very key to the new education reform.
